Dudes on horses

Back in the day there was some serious coin to be made creating statues of dudes who did something cool.  Mostly these dudes were portrayed on horses because that made them look more stately or manly or tough or something.  Here’s a selection of these statues we have encountered on our travels through Europe;  there are more but we got dude on horse statue fatigue a few times and thus didn’t snap pictures of them all.  We have some more travelling to do in Europe before we move back to Canada so this might be “Part 1”.

Not a dude, nor a statue but close enough.

UPDATE!

Vancouver’s own dude on a horse (with friends Andrea and Esmé) in Yaletown. This is decidedly less stately than most of the Euro horses.
