On Friday I went to the U of S poultry barn. It was great! I saw table egg production, broilers (only days old!), and turkeys. It wasn’t any smellier than chicken coops I have been in before, although a little dustier without west coast dampness to keep everything stuck together. It was also a lot louder – roosters crow all day long and even though there are only a few of them, their noise filled up the barn.
