Last Friday I did a talking head segment for CBC Saskatoon, under unhappy circumstances. Two kids were killed last week in a tractor accident and they were looking for some safety advice to disseminate when they reported on the incident. Since it was a summer Friday, nearly everyone who does kid-safety research was away, so I did it. It was a bit of a scramble since I found out about 2 hours before the interview, but it is worth doing so that folks get the prevention message along with the bad news. Hopefully this kind of incident can be prevented in the future. The 18:00 news segment is here, the story starts around 4 minutes. More information on the rollover protective structure I mentioned can be found here.
