Dec 5: Go see the lights

Part of the 2020 good-times advent calendar!

Stockholm city has a map of the light displays in the City Centre; there is enough there that it would take you several walks! Luckily walking outdoors is a pretty low risk activity. In some places it would make more sense to drive through suburbs and see the lights that way. Saskatoon has a long-standing tradition of light displays at the local forestry park/farm/zoo; driving seems like an eye-roll cop-out until you realize it could easily be -40 C at Christmas, so driving in your car with a Tim Horton’s in your hand is the way to go. This year, it’s also the safe way! Lots of municipalities in Canada publish a neighbourhood decoration route or something similar, and often there is an optional donation to a local charity.
