Seen in Vancouver

All of these are so West Coast: some for being left, and some for being seen in December. Not pictured: in December along 7th Ave I saw a HUMMINGBIRD eating from a FLOWER. Oh Vancouver.

These next photos come from a Canadian Labour Federation campaign on fairness and reducing inequalities. Some stats might make more sense to you than others, but overall it is pretty refreshing to see fairness in place of product advertisement.

West Coast Hiking

Oh forest, how I miss you!
Oh forest, how I miss you!

While in BC I hiked on several trails, and took some photos both with my crappy phone camera and my awesome new waterpoof olympus.  I went to Belcarra Park with Erica…

Baking with Mom

Before Christmas I went to stay with my mom for a few days to do some Christmas baking. It was lots of fun and now I want to do it every year! It was a productive little work bee, turning out literally hundreds of cookies and treats. Here are some crummy phone photos of the fruits of our labours.

Dragonboat @ Superstore

So what's that about?
So what’s that about?

While Graham was away racing in China, Superstore celebrated dragonboat festival. In the same way that they celebrate Vaisakhi and Lunar New Year… but it seems so out of place in Saskatchewan. I guess this is a nation-wide thing, but I think most folks in Saskatoon don’t have any context for it. AS long as Lee Kum Kee stuff is on sale, I am all for it.

These photos were taken in earshot of the Bob Marley tribute band on Pacific at Davie during the Sun Run on Saturday. Big onshore wind, but lovely day for a Sun Run!
