Canola is a modern, less toxic variety of rape seed and was developed in Canada (hence the name). Â In July I made a few trips out to Eastern Saskatchewan to visit some pig barns. Â I had the chance to see the grain commodities in action. Â The barley was juuuust starting to turn golden, and undulating in the wind. Â I’m not sure when the canola flowers go to seed, they seem to have been yellow a long time.
