Unfortunately, we forgot the underwater camera on the way to the reef boat, so we don’t have any pictures of our snorkling trip. Â We saw lots of colour fish including blue and yellow tangs, big parrot fish, a spiny lobster and 30-cm conchs. Â We also saw barracuda, which made me think of the french song (nage, nage, nage)… I could not find a good version of this song on youtube, too bad!
After snorkling we went for dinner and hung out by the sea with a drink. After the sunset, Ed noticed some lights in the water. Everyone loves bioluminescence, so we went down to the water. It turns out we were seeing Burmuda fireworms, on the Northern reaches of their habitat. Â We had some trouble identifying them and came up with an interesting combination of Google search terms to find out what they were. Â It turns out we were pretty lucky to see them, since they only do their glowing mating dance a few nights of the year.
