NOT a prairie dog

So all these little guys I’ve seen playing around on the grass are NOT actually prairie dogs, but gophers (Richardson`s ground squirrels). It turns out everything I’ve ever seen is a gopher, and prairie dogs are endangered and only live on certain patches of native prairie in SK parks.

Luckily, a Saskatoon dog is still a Saskatoon dog.
