Happy First day of Spring, Happy Nowrouz, and Happy Birthday to me. My birthday was a nice one, I had a distanced outdoor birthday picnic with Swedish colleagues (and toques!) I got some tulips and some Swedish poetry books, which will help me to learn some artistic words and use the creative side of my brain. We had vegetarian mung bean soup with apple-pear, lasagne, a Swedish kladdkaka with almond flour and a lemon curd triffle. Lovely!
There was also a young ginger tabby who came by for pets during the party and then climbed a tree near us to harass the magpies. He hung around until his people came out to call him in for the night, and meowed his way down the tree because he didn’t want to get locked out.

Lovely! Happy birthday! We had about 10 days of very unseasonably warm temps and packed in several outdoor meals as well. Cooled off again for now but it was a great teaser for brighter days to come.
Wonderful to see the pictures of your birthday celebration. I am so glad you had a meal to share and time to celebrate with new friends. I like the idea of the Swedish poetry to exercise the creative part of your brain:) It looks like fun was had by all! Happy Birthday!
