A Goode Visit

Thornhill buddy Dave Goode came to visit in May, the second houseguest at the new place. The title of this post is a nod to my Dad who called Dave ‘A Goode boy’ and LOOOVED the opportunities for Dad-puns that the name provided. Since Dave lives in Australia now, we don’t see him that often and we have missed matching up in the lower mainland a few times. So, it was a real treat that he showed up on our doorstep! A quick stop on a European tour anchored by a scientific conference, we made the most of a 3-day mid-week stopover. Luckily the weather was great, spring flowers had arrived, and we went for a bike ride along the local lakes and on the ferry over to Ekerö, an island in Lake Mälaren where we got to eat a patio lunch at TEGNÈRS BAGERI EKERÖ. They have a great spot over there with all the same rad treats. The trip had a lot of stops and waypoints and hop-offs to see some local faves and historical sights. Hopefully it is not too long before we get to see Dave again.
