…as my Dad would say. ‘Next’ for me is an assistant professor position in the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in beautiful, sophisticated, metropolitan (wink wink) Saskatoon. I will be working at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture, but I will be doing ergonomics research in lots of industries. One of the great opportunities with this position is that it comes with a nomination to be a Canada Research Chair in Ergonomics/Musculoskeletal Injury. This means I am spending my spare time (between wrapping up with work, saying goodbye to people, and cleaning up my Swedish apartment) writing an application for the CRC program. Busy times! I look forward to catching my breath in Vancouver during the month of September before heading east to the prairies.
Check out this student’s toontown slideshow – I don’t think they were trying to capture it at its most beautiful, but at least it is not full of blizzard shots.
After that I am sure you are all enthusiastic about coming to visit! I would like to get a 2-bedroom apartment and may even keep a spare parka on hand for guests. Välkomna!
Congratulations on your new position!!! I’m very excited and happy for you!!! This is a great next step for you and I’m looking forward to hearing about your new adventures in SaskatchewanI (I especially like this position because you will be back in Canada :p!)
