Ramslök

We first had ramslök (ramps, wild garlic or wild leeks) when a neighbour gave us some dried and mixed with salt. We learned they grow wild and are delicious with eggs… and we set out to find some. We had trouble finding a good patch, but on a tip from Stockholm friends took a trip into the city to pick some there. This was our land-based warm-up to Valborg, and we came home with a big bag! after a clean and a sort we dried them out. They preserve well with salt, which is also how we sprinkled them on our eggs last year. We also enjoyed ramps pesto and salad, and they also made an appearance on tamale day. We plan to bring some to Canada… who wants some?
