Between visitors, we did some little tours around Stockholm and Sörmland. We took additional bike rides to Karshamra eco-farm/pizza kitchen, which brought us by some lovely farmland.
July had some good eats. After a very hot and dry June, we got enough rain to have an early mushroom crop. We found a DELIGHTFUL family garden café in our neighbourhood, steps from the kayak club. Weather permitting, they serve home baked cakes, cookies, scones, and sandwiches on homemade bread. The kids take the orders and take on hosting duties. We had a great fika/lunch and brought home some seed bread. They went on vacation after our visit, but we plan to go back once they are open again. Hopefully we will get a chance to bring Tom and Bernie when they visit!
We did some ‘touristing in our town’ by visiting some new-to-us spots on a self-guided walking tour. We visited the North-East corner of Södermalm, and have plans to go back (hungry) to the Katarina Kyrkan church garden café.
